Welcome to Lauren Haren Strings! I am excited to have my new site up and running! I cannot wait to share ideas and informative tips with my students and parents. My hope is to share valuable tips from practice to performance and everything in between!

A Little About Me

My name is Lauren and I am a violinist and violist in Northern Virginia. I have my own private lesson studio and perform with Loudoun Symphony Orchestra. My vision when going to school was to solely perform, however, once I began to teach lessons to my students, I soon transitioned my focus to grow my studio.

Why I Teach

There is nothing better than seeing my students’ faces light up after mastering a technique or musical selection! I feel that my purpose as a teacher is to instill confidence in my students (not only on their instrument, but in their life!) and nurture their appreciation of music to continue long past our lessons and into their adult lives. I try to create strong, individual relationships with my students and their parents to go beyond just being their violin or viola teacher, but a mentor in balancing their passion for music with their lives.
